14. Office Assassin

“Jerry, come in to my office… alone.”

Office Assassin Game

This is a game that is awesome to play, but definitely should be thought through carefully considering its nature.

You put everyone’s name into a hat, and each person draws a name and keeps it a secret. The name they draw is the person they are after or need to “assassinate”. Each person is equipped with a small squirt or Nerf gun. The rules are:

  1. You must be alone with the person to assassinate them.

  2. You must squirt/hit them with your gun.

After you “assassinate” someone, they give you their slip of paper with a new name and that is your next target. The playing field gets whittled down until you have one person left who is the winner.

Games to Play with coworkers when bored.

Optional rule: If someone tries to assassinate another person and they miss with their water pistol, the victim can then return fire and shoot the initial person instead, granting them immunity from that person for the next two hours. However, they are not immune from someone who assassinates their would be assassin, so don’t get too cocky!

This game is played over an extended period of time and is not like a game played in 6th grade gym. It can take hours, days, or weeks to play depending on the players. Because you get assassinated alone, it’s best to buddy up when you go to the bathroom or your car… unless that buddy is hunting you.

You may want to add additional rules, such as, it has to be out of their workspace so you can’t just march into someone’s office and blow them away, once someone leaves work property they are safe (unless it’s for lunch, getting them at Arby’s would be epic), or the boss can’t order someone to come into their office alone… but it doesn’t mean she or he can’t ask…
